You Me At Six

You Me At Six: (From Left to Right) Chris Miller, Max Helyer, Josh Franceschi, Dan Flint and Matt Barnes

Support Bands: We The Kings and Forever The Sickest Kids.

I had been waiting many a month for this event on the 20th March 2010 at Brixton Academy and it did not disappoint!
The support bands were absolutely amazing! The crowd loved them! They got everyone full of energy and ready for You Me At Six. I was, I will admit, unsure of the support bands when I first saw them. This could be of course because I am impatient! However they were absolutely amazing and now I have two new favourite bands! We The Kings did an amazing cover of 'The Middle' by 'Jimmy Eat World' and Forever The Sickest Kids created such an amazing atmosphere!
Finally You Me At Six came on stage and I don't think I have ever heard so much screaming! They were straight in with 'Safer To Hate her'. They played amazingly well! It was also my first concert and a very good one at that! They played 'The Truth Is A Terrible Thing' followed by a favourite of everyone 'Kiss And Tell'. Then the band left the stage. Just left us, left the guitars and equipment.
Then something amazing happened! Sirens started going, the very familiar beginning of 'The Consequence'! Again the crowd started to scream. Then the black curtains went and revealed raised rants that went behind the drums, the drums being raised above everyone else. As Josh Franceschi sung another familiar figure appeared on the stage, again more screaming ensued! It was non over than Sean Smith lead vocalist of The Blackout! It was amazing!
After this they played several other songs, old and new including 'Liquid Confidence' dedicated to Max Helyer (Guitarist) for his Birthday. Then after the band left the stage the crowd chanted their name. Chris Miller (Guitarist) and Josh Franceschi (Lead Vocals) came back on stage just themselves with Chris and his guitar. He sat down and they started to play 'Always Attract' sending the crowd crazy, everyone sung loud. Then Josh's sister Elissa came on stage and started to sing along as on 'Take off your Colours'. It was the most amazing thing ever! Then came 'Save It For The Bedroom' and 'Underdog' he was also joined by Sean and Travis (Lead Vocals for We The Kings) during 'Save It for The Bedroom'. Towards the end silver paper/glitter/confetti fell from the ceiling. Everyone was trying to catch on but it was incredibly difficult, as I found out for myself!
It was the most amazing thing I have seen in my life and can't wait till I can see them again!
